Wendigos
Forced to eat human flesh to survive these once human creatures now look very different from what they once did. Wendigos possess great speed, strength, stamina and agility. Capable of run faster than 40 miles an hour, powered by human flesh make them are major worry. These creature date their way back to Native American lore. A wendigo is created when in time of great hardship, people were forced to eat the flesh of another human. Once transformed into a wendigo many changes happen. Wendigos grow tall and thin, their skin pale and leathery. On the inside they are no longer the intelligent being they used to be. Instead they are primitive and are driven by the need to eat.

How to DEFY the odds
If caught in the mid-west of the US or anywhere there are stories of people being forced to eat human flesh, check the papers and newspaper archives. Wendigos are creatures of habit. They take their fill to their cave and hibernate until they need to feed again. If there are stories of people going out camping and not returning, don't go camping that year. Wait a few years then return when it's clear (hopefully). There is some warding that can be drawn on the ground to keep them at bay for a while. That however, will not make them go away, they will stay in the area watching and waiting for you to leave the warding. Besides drawing some funky shapes and figures on the ground, there isn't much to be done to keep one at bay. They can open doors, break locks and windows. These creatures are great hunters during the day, and even better hunters at night. Another thing that wendigos can do is imitate voices to set traps for people.
I think you need some lotion
Identifing a wendigo can be easy or it can be hard. If you can see it, then its easy. Huge, pale, leather skinned, beast blazing through the woods, trees and any other thing it sees fit. However, it most likely will be able to snag you before you even know it's coming. These are cave dwelling beast that get many living victims and keep them alive for up to 15 years to have a food supply. Another good way to tell if it is in fact a wendigo is to try shooting or stabbing it. If it truly is a wendigo, then you're screw because it's now pissed off because you tried to kill it.
It's Time for me to go
By now it probably has you tired up in its cave so you won't go anywhere until it decides you're its new meal. So sit tight and wait for your turn to get eaten. Most times raw and alive. It's a tough way to go, but, you have one way to kill it. It might be hard if you don't have the right kind of stuff with you. Knifes and guns will not do you any good here. There is only one way to put this flesh eating beast down. That one way is fire. It must be burned alive, once charcoaled, it will finally leave you alone. Wendigo live for hundreds of years so who knows where they'll travel to next.
